Plain terms for a licence on your Kurm account. If something here is unclear, contact Customer Service before you buy and we will answer it.
What you are buying
A Kurm Optimizer licence is a right to use the software, signed in with your Kurm account. It is not a sale of the software itself, and it is not a subscription that renews - nothing is charged again automatically.
Normal and Maximum licences run for 30 days from the day of payment; buying the same tier again adds 30 days to the end of the time left. A Forever licence does not expire. The tier you bought determines which panels unlock; the current split is listed on the pricing page.
The licence is personal to you. It is non-transferable: you may not sell, give or lend it, or your account, to another person.
Accounts
You need a free Kurm account to download the software, to sign in to it and to buy a plan. You must be at least 13 years old to make one; people under 13 may not make an account. Creating an account, with an email and password or with Google, means you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy, and we record which version you agreed to and when.
You are responsible for keeping your password and your email or Google account secure, and for what is done with your account. Tell Customer Service if you think someone else has used it.
We may suspend or delete an account that is used for abuse, fraud, or in breach of these terms.
You can delete your account yourself at any time: sign in, open your account page and choose Delete account. Deleting it is permanent. It does not refund any purchase, and the plans on the account end with it. See the Privacy Policy for the records that are kept.
Your licence and your account
Your licence belongs to your Kurm account. One desktop session can be active per account at a time; signing in elsewhere signs the earlier session out. Sharing an account is not allowed.
Your plan is not tied to a particular computer: if you replace hardware or reinstall Windows, sign in again with the same account. The app checks your plan with our servers while it runs; without a connection, paid features stay on for up to 30 minutes after the last successful check and then pause until it reconnects, and the free panels keep working.
What the software does to your computer
Kurm Optimizer changes Windows settings. Depending on the tier and the panels you use, that can include registry values, service startup states, power and scheduling settings, network stack parameters, display colour pipelines, and - on the Maximum tier - processor and memory clock and voltage targets.
Overclocking carries real risk. Running hardware outside its rated clocks or voltages can cause instability, data loss, shortened component life, or permanent damage, and typically voids the hardware manufacturer's warranty. The Overclock panel is opt-in and is not applied unless you choose to apply it.
The software creates restore points before registry changes and provides a documented way to revert its tweaks. You remain responsible for maintaining your own backups.
Every tweak changes how your system is configured, and you apply it at your own risk. We recommend that you create a restore point and back up anything important before you apply changes.
Refunds
All sales are final. We do not give refunds, whether or not the plan has been used. Ten panels are free forever with a free account, so try the software before you buy.
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, these terms do not affect your statutory rights, including the statutory right to cancel a digital purchase. Where you have asked for immediate delivery of the plan and it has been added to your account, the statutory cancellation right may no longer apply.
At checkout you are asked to tick a box before you pay. By ticking it you agree to these terms, you ask for the plan to be added to your account immediately after payment, and you acknowledge that once it is added you lose any right to cancel the purchase (the right of withdrawal for digital content under UK and EU consumer law). The plan is added to your account as soon as the payment succeeds.
Acceptable use
Do not resell, sublicense or share your account or its plans. Do not reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the licence system, or circumvent the licence check. Do not use the software on a computer you are not authorised to modify.
We may revoke a licence without refund if it was obtained fraudulently, through a reversed or disputed payment, or in breach of this section.
Liability
The software and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise any particular performance gain, or that the software will be error-free or suit your hardware.
To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, and damage to hardware or software arising from changes you choose to apply. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the software, a licence or this website is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in question.
Termination
You can stop using the software at any time, and delete your account as described under Accounts. We may end your licence or your account if you breach these terms, as described under Acceptable use and Accounts. The sections on refunds, liability and governing law continue to apply after a licence or account ends.
Support and response time
We answer messages sent through Customer Service or to Kurmoptimizer@gmail.com within one business day. Sign-in and plan problems - a plan that does not show in the app, an account you cannot sign in to - are treated as priority and are usually resolved the same day.
Changes to these terms
These terms are versioned. Your order records the version you agreed to, and a later change does not alter the terms of a purchase already made. Material changes are reflected in a new version number and effective date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the US state in which Kurm Optimizer is operated, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
